In the last several years as technology develops, antivirus software has also adapted to the riskier environment. Companies have gone to great lengths to get themselves protected from the most vicious of outside threats. But don’t you ever find it peculiar that despite the fact we’ve got years of research and practice we use, we still get reports of data breaches from all over.
As reported by companies to the Ponemon Institute for its recent 2016 Cost of Data Breach Study quoted from the website Tripwire, ” Among 874 incidents of inside threats, 568 were caused by employee or contractor negligence; 85 by outsiders using stolen credentials; and 191 by malicious employees and criminals.” That’s why it’s time to not only focus on the things that attack from the outside, but we have to take a look at what’s inside too. Like charity, self-protection by neutralizing threats starts at home. – Mayvilyn Cabigao
