Just a decade ago, cloud computing was not the “in thing”. There were only very few people who actually considered this technology for storing data. Fast forward to today and not being in the cloud makes an organization archaic.
Cloud computing is defined by Tech Target as the general term for the delivery of hosted services over the internet. It basically enables companies to consume compute resources like virtual machine (VM), storage, or application as utility instead of having to build infrastructure in house.
